Welcome to Frisby
Wine Appreciation Society
The Frisby
on the Wreake Wine Appreciation Society was founded in 1991
by like minded members of the village who wished to taste
and enjoy the wines of the world. The Society holds two types
of events. Firstly there are the Wine Appreciation Meetings
which are talks given by either the members of the society or
by invited speakers, on all aspects of wine production
and tasting.
Secondly, there the Social Events
, usually four a year. These are good value, with music, good
food, sometimes in fancy dress, games, dancing and quizzes.
Guests of members are always welcome and, if numbers
permit, the function can be opened up to the rest of the village.
Meetings
are usually held in Frisby Village Hall on the last Wednesday
of each month (except for July and August) and begin at 7.45pm
unless stated otherwise.
